Overview
This session will provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of hypertensive disorders in pregnant and postpartum patients, including current treatment options and medication management. Through the exploration of clinical scenarios, participants will apply evidence-based knowledge to real-world situations, enhancing their ability to recognize, assess, and manage hypertension in maternal care settings.

Learning Objectives
As a result of this activity, participants, as members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Discuss the incidence and scope of hypertension in pregnancy.
- Define hypertension and preeclampsia.
- Discuss the management of acute hypertension.
- Discuss the management of preeclampsia.
- Identify and discuss antihypertensive medications and their role in managing hypertension and preeclampsia in pregnancy.
