Series Overview
A 1-hour virtual lecture, offering updates in patient care management, review of signs, symptoms, diagnostic tools for medical emergency situations with focus on pre-hospital management. A plethora of lecturers, leaders in their field, will share basic and advanced concepts with review of significant clinical cases that highlight the importance of early recognition, prompt transport to the proper facility and initial management, and how these actions will impact positively in patient's outcome.

Learning Objectives
As a result of participation in this educational activity, members of the healthcare team will increase their ability to:
- Analyze the sequence of prehospital and hospital interventions that contribute to improved survival in high-acuity trauma cases.
- Explain the importance of early notification and trauma activation, and how these processes impact patient outcomes.
- Evaluate system-level challenges such as communication barriers, technology use, and coordination across dispatch, EMS, flight, and hospital teams.
- Apply lessons learned from rare, high-stakes pediatric trauma events to strengthen readiness for future high-acuity, low-occurrence cases.
