Learning Climate and the Educational Framework

The 25th Annual Layton F. Rikkers Education Retreat features a hands-on Professional Development Worskhop led by Dr. Kevin Pei and an Educational Session with Dr. Andrea Schnell. The purpose of this retreat is to recognize and support the education efforts of the Department of Surgery while also dedicating time to professional development in education.

Intended Audience

The target audience for this activity is physicians and students in the Department of Surgery. 

Learning Objectives

As a result of participation in this educational series, learners will be able to...

  1. Utilize specific educational frameworks in clinical teaching
  2. Identify the optimal educational framework to use for the teaching environment
  3. Demonstrate skills to develop and support a professional mentorship network 
  4. Explain the purpose and importance of support networks
