Introduction to Whole Health: July 14, 2021
Intro to Whole Health is a 2 hour experience designed to guide participants in exploring Whole Health and considering how it can be used to improve one’s own health and well-being. The goal of this program is to help each participant identify their meaning, aspiration and/or purpose, and understand how they can make changes in their lives to help them work towards achieving their personal goals. During the course, participants learn about the Whole Health approach and review the Circle of Health to see how it provides guidance for making changes in one’s life. At the conclusion of this program, each participant will have the opportunity to identify areas of growth and develop a plan to strive towards their goals. The intent is that this course can also support participants with their own self-care and connect them back to what matters. By participating in this course individuals become a part of the growing Whole Health Community.
People interested in exploring Whole Health, considering how it can be used to improve one’s own health and well-being, and implementing Whole Health into their personal and/or professional practices.
At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Define Whole Health
- Identify the mission and 5 initial priorities of the Whole Health Institute
- Interpret the Whole Health Circle of Health and compose two questions to implement Whole Health into their personal and/or professional practices
- Independently interpret the Whole Health Reflection tool to identify self-care areas that are strengths, as well as opportunities for improvement, and develop at minimum of one self-care goal
- Examine one barrier to our current health care model and propose one solution as it relates to Whole Health
- Implement "pause, notice, choose" within their lives and/or practice

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP designates this virtual live activity for a maximum of 1.75 ANCC contact hours.
Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB)
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, the University of Wisconsin-Madison ICEP is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. University of Wisconsin-Madison ICEP maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing the course will receive 1.75 live continuing education credits.
American Psychological Association (APA)
Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibly for the content of the programs.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP, as a member of the University Professional & Continuing Education Association (UPCEA), authorizes this program for .175 continuing education units (CEUs) or 1.75 hours.
