Golden Hour for the Older Adult: Pre-Hospital Strategies for Geriatric Trauma and Prevention - Manish Shah, MD, MPH
Series Overview
A 1-hour virtual lecture, offering updates in patient care management, review of signs, symptoms, diagnostic tools for medical emergency situations with focus on pre-hospital management. A plethora of lecturers, leaders in their field, will share basic and advanced concepts with review of significant clinical cases that highlight the importance of early recognition, prompt transport to the proper facility and initial management, and how these actions will impact positively in patient's outcome.

MD/DO, RN, Physician Assistants, Students, and Emergency Medical Services Providers -ALL LEVELS-
Learning Objectives
As a result of participation in this educational activity, members of the healthcare team will increase their ability to:
- Demonstrate the epidemiology of trauma in older adults
- Describe the care considerations for injured older patients
- Interpret key medical issues that arise in caring for injured older patients
- Determine public health roles for EMS
