ForwardGIM APP 2026 Conference
This conference provides an opportunity for you to enhance your knowledge of clinical resources, new treatments and optimization of workflows that support your General Internal Medicine practice. Partcipants will learn from experts in various specialty areas of adult medicine, operational leaders and peers. There will be an oppportunity to network and learn alongside other Advance Practice Providers during this in-person event.

Elements of Competence
This continuing education activity has been designed to change learner competence and focuses on the American Board of Medical Specialties areas of medical knowledge, systems-based practice, employ evidence-based practice, utilize informatics, and roles and responsibilities.
Intended Audience
This activity is designed for nurses, advanced practice providers and physician assistants.
Learning Objectives
As a result of participation in this series, APPs will be able to:
- Improve their knowledge of specialty clinics and treatments available to patients in a General Internal Medicine practice.
- Increase the number of appropriate referrals to specialty consults and treatments.
- Improve clinic visit RVUs and HCC capture and documentation.
- Improve their involvement in operational QI work to improve patient access.

American Academy of PAs (AAPA)
The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 4.0 AAPA Category 1 Self-Assessment CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
