Forward in Health - AI in Healthcare

Madison, WI US
December 2, 2026

Forward in Health: AI in Healthcare is an in-person conference designed to help clinicians, scientists, and healthcare leaders navigate the rapid integration of artificial intelligence across both clinical practice and biomedical research. The event addresses the vital balance between protecting patient safety, advancing scientific discovery, and leveraging AI to expand healthcare access, improve clinical capacity, and accelerate translational research. Through expert keynotes, interactive panels, and real-world demonstrations, attendees will explore cutting-edge applications spanning EHR ambient documentation, radiomics, AI-driven precision genomics, drug discovery, clinical trials, and learning health systems.

Intended Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, biomedical researchers, translational scientists, informaticians, data scientists, health system leaders, and trainees.

Learning Objectives

As a result of participation in this series, members of the healthcare team will be able to:

  • Evaluate current and emerging applications of artificial intelligence in clinical care, including the use of machine learning and advanced analytics to improve healthcare delivery, clinical decision-making, and patient outcomes.
  • Examine how machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) embedded within Electronic Health Records (EHR) can streamline clinical documentation, mitigate administrative burnout, and improve point-of-care decision support.
  • Evaluate radiomics and AI-driven image analysis tools across the diagnostic continuum to improve triage accuracy, risk stratification, and patient management strategies.
  • Formulate clinical strategies to apply genomic sequencing and biomarker analytics driven by AI to personalize drug therapy, identify pharmacogenomic targets, and tailor disease management plans.
  • Integrate complex, disparate data sources—including EHRs, imaging, and genomic profiles—into actionable, team-based clinical decision-making protocols to advance personalized healthcare delivery.
  • Evaluate the role of artificial intelligence in biomedical and translational research, including applications in drug discovery, biomarker development, clinical trial optimization, population health research, and the generation of real-world evidence.
