Overview
By participating in this activity, the Nurse will be able to demonstrate knowledge of appropriate assessments of chest tube and drainage system, identify appropriate interventions for the patient with a chest tube and the chest tube/drainage system, and understand appropriate documentation for a chest tube. They will also be able to identify where to find resources for completing the Standard Work required when a patient expires, identify which patients would require coroner notification, discuss the differences in post-mortem care for coroner cases vs. non-coroner cases, and dmonstrate knowledge of which forms must be completed following the death of a patient, where these forms are located, and what to do with the forms once completed.

This activity is designed to reach Nurses (RN, APRN).
Learning Objectives
As a result of this activity, participants, as members of the healthcare team will be able to:
