Course Overview

The purpose of this training is to teach Physician Builders about the following:

  • How to create population health registries.
  • How to create custom population risk stratification tools.
  • How to create patient care gap tracking tools for health maintenance.
  • How to create custom clinical quality measures and patient attribution logic.
  • How to create custom reports and dashboard to distribute data.

Elements of Competence

This CME activity has been designed to change learner competence and focuses on the American Board of Medical Specialties area of systems-based practice.

Statement of Need and Purpose

The purpose of this training is to show physicians who use Epic’s electronic medical record how to configure the software to accommodate population health management needs. Specifically, the courses will show physicians how to create population health registries, incorporate external data, stratify patient populations by risk, track patient care gaps, and configure clinical quality measures.

Target Audience

This program is intended for physicians in specialty and sub-specialty areas using the Epic EMR in their daily practice.

Learning Objectives

Following this training the participant will be able to:
