COURSE OVERVIEW
The purpose of this training is to teach Physician SmartUser to efficiently use an EMR, which includes: setting up your workspace; optimizing Track Board; hiding buttons you rarely use; and efficiency tips for the Dispo activity.
ELEMENTS OF COMPETENCE
This CE activity has been designed to change learner competence and focuses on the American Board of Medical Specialties area of systems-based practice, the Institute of Medicine competency of quality improvement and the Interprofessional Competency of roles and responsiblities.
STATEMENT OF NEED AND PURPOSE
The purpose of this training is to demonstrate efficiencies in EMR configuration in order to accommodate patient workflows in speciality and subspecialty areas. Specifically, the courses will show learners how to personalize the tools they use in documentation, placing orders, and messaging about patient cares.
INTENDED AUDIENCE
This program is intended for physicians in specialty and sub-specialty areas using the EMR in their daily practice.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After completing this activity learners will be able to:
- Demonstrate how to use the Track Board activity efficiently
- Explain how to use user settings in the patient workspace
- Demonstrate how to personalize and manage order workflows
