Course Overview

CEO Council is organized for physicians, clinicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other Epic users to network and share practical knowledge unique to their experience with the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in order to improve patient outcomes, patient safety, and patient care. This event features user presentations from clinicians across the United States and overseas, deep-dive breakout discussions, and previews of upcoming functionality aimed at addressing issues raised by healthcare organizations.

Intended Audience

This activity is designed to reach Physicians, Nurses (RN, APRN), Physician Assistants, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Psychologists, and Social Workers.

Learning Objectives

Following this training the participant will be able to:

  • Identify EHR tools or strategies to support clinical decision-making and patient safety
  • Design and implement data reporting tools that analyze and present patient information to promote tracking, improve disparate healthcare outcomes, and promote health equity.
  • Describe methods of improving the patient care experience through utilizing  EHR technology to improve communications among the healthcare team, patients, and their caregivers.
  • Identify sources of data within the EHR that empower healthcare providers to perform data-driven analysis of care processes and outcomes to enhance patient care and population management as well as promote equity among vulnerable populations.
  • Develop strategic networks of providers and healthcare organizations to support ongoing learning after the conference through interactive sessions and clinical working group opportunities
