Empowering the Epic End User for Clinical Informatics CLN2020v (Jun 1 - Dec 31, 2020)
Statement of Need and Purpose
Healthcare is changing quickly with the electronic health record (EHR) matching this rapid pace. Personalization of the EHR can empower Epic End Users. It is important for Clinical Informaticists to have the tools they need to identify and promote clinician efficiencies through personalization of the EHR.
This course builds upon the content in CLN102/102-Focused and exposes learners to numerous tips and tricks of the trade and provides opportunities for application.
Elements of Competence
This CE activity has been designed to change learner competence and focuses on the Institute of Medicine area of using information technology, and the Nursing areas of roles/responsibilities.
This course is intended for Clinical Informaticists who use Epic's EHR in their daily workflow.
Following this training, learners will be able to:
- Describe the purpose and value of empowering Epic End Users
- Identify common ways to personalize the EHR experience for clinicians
- Apply pocket guide tips to case-based scenarios and select appropriate methods to personalize the EHR
