ELEMENTS OF COMPETENCE
This continuing education (CE) activity has been designed to change learner competence and performance, and focuses on the American Board of Medical Specialties areas of patient care and procedural skills, practice-based learning and improvement, interpersonal and communication skills, and systems-based practice, in addition to the interprofessional competencies of communication, roles/responsibilities, and teams/teamwork.
This activity is designed for nurses and physicians practicing in the EMCCT environment.
By participating in this session the EMCCT team and its members will be able to:
- Verbalize an understanding of the Impella
- Demonstrate how to best secure and transport a swan
- Identify and differentiate a hemorrhagic from an ischemic stroke and appropriate interventions
- Demonstrate how to set-up and transport an EVD
- Become familiar with the new airway checklist
