Series Overview

This activity is designed for UW Department of Medicine faculty, residents, fellows, and a wider array of interested health care professionals. Each session is designed to integrate basic science and clinical research into clinical practice for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, students, and the remainder of an interprofessional team. The content is meant to be applicable to the current/potential scope of practice of the target audience.

MD, DO, Specific Physician Specialists, RN, APRN, LPN, Specific RN Specialists, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Physician Assistants, Psychologists, Social Workers, Medical Students , Nurse Practitioners, Patients/Caregivers

Learning Objectives

As a result of participation in this online education series, learners will be able to: 

  1. Improve the ability to incorporate current and updated concepts, new research data and evidence based guidelines into their clinical practice and research. 
  2. Enhance collective capacity to provide collaborative, team-based care in internal medicine and the sub-specialty areas associated.
  3. Foster interprofessional communication and appreciation of roles and responsibilities of members of a healthcare team who are involved in care of medical patients or research in the related clinical areas.
