INTENDED AUDIENCE

This activity is designed for psychologists, social workers, physicians, nurses and other interested mental healthcare providers.

ELEMENTS OF COMPETENCE

This continuing education activity has been designed to change learner competence and focuses on the American Board of Medical Specialties areas of interpersonal and communication skills, and the interprofessional competencies of interprofessional communication and teams/teamwork.

GLOBAL LEARNING OBJECTIVES

This conference will allow participants to focus on collaboration between mental healthcare providers and others who support the wellbeing of students through a community approach to strengthen approaches in the supporting and healing of students' health and wellbeing. As a result of participation in this conference, members of the healthcare team will be able to:

  • Identify the importance of collaboration in mental health care.
  • Describe evidence-based practices and innovate programming that advances mental health care on college campuses.
  • Identify, describe, and discuss the value of meaningful engagement with students’ lived experiences in evaluating and improving mental health services on campus.
  • Apply lessons learned from the conference to improve the practice of collaborative mental health care on college campuses.
