Intended Audience
Medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, primary care physicians, RN’s, oncology nurses, nurse practitioners, clinical research associates, and other health care professionals involved in cancer care.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the learner will be able to::
- Describe the role of the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) in IgG homeostasis.
- Discuss how dysregulation of the alternative complement pathway leads to paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH).
- Identify features of clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) that confer high risk of progression to a myeloid neoplasm.
- Describe key gene therapies currently in trials for sickle cell disease and beta thalassemia.
- Discuss updates in anticoagulation for specific indications.
