2026 HHPF Pre-Conference - Multi-Modality Low Back Pain TX
About the Course
The HHPF (Hackett Hemwall Patterson Foundation) has invited renowned faculty to give presentations and hands-on instruction on prolotherapy to deepen their skills in non-surgical regenerative therapies designed to reduce pain, restore function, and enhance healing. Sessions are designed for both beginner and advanced practitioners and will include prolotherapy, PIT, regenerative injections, and the use of ultrasound prolotherapy techniques.
Elements of Competence
This CE activity has been designed to change learner competence and performance and focuses on the following competencies:
American Board of Medical Specialties:
- Skills/strategies
- Medical knowledge
- Practice-based learning and improvement.
Statement of Need
Providers need to be certified in prolotherapy and other regenerative medicine treatments and innovative techniques to treat chronic pain and relieve suffering. Providers lack the knowledge and professional skills needed to successfully use these therapies as a treatment for chronic pain; Patient outcomes are improved when providers have access to mentorship and networking opportunities; Prolotherapy, also called proliferation therapy, is an injection-based treatment used in chronic musculoskeletal conditions. It has been characterized as an alternative medicine practice. Providers lack opportunities to practice injection protocols to improve skills and to learn about best practices in injection protocols.
Intended Audience
This educational activity has been designed to meet the needs of physicians, (MD and DO) and other healthcare providers (physician assistants, naturopaths, students) who provide pain management services for musculoskeletal pain.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants, as members of the healthcare team, will be able to:
- Accurately map underlying pain pathways and differentiate between structural and neurogenic sources of low back pain
- Summarize non-surgical treatment options for orthopedic and neurogenic pain
- Discuss injection techniques for orthopedic and neuropathic pain, identifying appropriate clinical indications and anatomical landmarks for targeted interventional care
