
Child Maltreatment Course
This activity is for staff of UW Health. Learners will explore topics related to child maltreatment.
Intended Audience
This activity is designed by and for physicians, APPs (PA/NP), nurses, social workers, and security staff.
Learning Objectives
After participating in this activity, members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Identify signs of child neglect and abuse
- List the steps to initiate child protection services
- Describe mandatory reporting requirements
- Explain documentation requirements
- Utilize effective multidisciplinary team communication
- Identify and apply appropriate de-escalation techniques
- Identify emotional and physical self-care strategies

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Requests for cancellation must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. Cancellation requests received at least 96 hours prior to the conference will allow a full refund except for the nonrefundable processing fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations received less than 96 hours prior to the activity start date.
