Series Overview

This series addresses new and/or developing research, technology, therapy, and practice guidelines in various areas of cardiovascular medicine. Sessions aim to address developments in treating cardiovascular related diseases well as practice issues identified in QA conferences. 

Target Audience

Cardiovascular Medicine Faculty (MD, DO), Fellows, Residents Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses (RN, APRN, LPN), Lab Personnel. Some sessions will be relevant to Internal Medicine, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Pediatric Cardiology.

Global Objectives: 

After participation in this regularly scheduled series, participants will:

Provide state of the art, patient centered cardiovascular care to patients in the clinic, on the inpatient services and in the diagnostic laboratory. In addition, they will improve their practice performance in the areas of diagnostic testing for CV disease particularly related to appropriate use, use of newly released medications, and use of guideline recommended treatment for all forms of CV disease.
