UW Carbone Cancer Center Presents: Cancer Care Series (Online Activity)
INTRODUCTION
Join us for five 30-minute, pre-recorded educational sessions to enhance your knowledge and earn continuing education credits.
INTENDED AUDIENCE
This activity is designed for individuals who are involved in cancer treatment and education of cancer patients and their families: oncology physicians, primary care physicians, oncology nurses, oncology nurse practitioners, clinical research associates, health educators, social workers, psychologists, chaplains, and other interested health care professionals involved in cancer care. Patients, caregivers and community members are also encouraged to take this course.
ELEMENTS OF COMPETENCE
This continuing education activity has been designed to change learner competence and focuses on the American Board of Medical Specialties areas of patient care and procedural skills, medical knowledge, interpersonal and communication skills, and professionalism, in addition to the interprofessional competencies of interprofessional communication, values/ethics, and teams/teamwork.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe cutting-edge topics, new treatment options, and the latest breakthroughs in cancer care for the healthcare team
- Discuss essential new information and help identify unmet challenges in cancer care
