1) Research Students Presentation: Assessment and documentation of dark skin tones for pressure injuries
As a result of this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe best practice recommendations for the assessment of pressure injury on darkly pigmented skin.
- Apply evidence-based terminology to wound assessment and documentation across the skin tone continuum.
- Identify the value of an objective skin tone assessment tool for pressure injury risk stratification.
2) Dermatology Residents Presentation: Identification and Management of Common Skin Conditions in Skin of Color
As a result of this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify common, benign lesions in skin color
- Identify malignant lesions in skin of color
- Identify common inflammatory conditions in skin of color
