2026 Cardiovascular Medicine Update for Primary Care - Hybrid Symposium

Madison, WI US
April 10, 2026

Join fellow healthcare providers as we discuss a wide range of new and emerging cardiovascular medicine best practices, including a prevention session with hypertension guidelines, lifestyle focused randomized controlled clinical trials, and an evaluation of the usefulness of lipoprotein(a).

A session covering structural and coronary heart disease topics will address screening and intervention for dilated aorta, evaluation of hypertrophy found during imaging, and the new era of antiplatelet and anticoagulation therapy after coronary stents.

An EP-focused session will address who to refer for left atrial appendage occlusion, when to ablate for atrial rhythm disorders, and case discussions about patients with palpitations.

The final session, focused on heart failure, will cover how to address newly diagnosed low ejection fraction, how to differentiate heart failure from other causes of dyspnea, and resources for optimizing guideline-directed medical therapy.

This conference aims to provide learners with new knowledge, skills, tools, and resources needed to enhance your practice and improve the care of patients.
