Wisconsin Medical Licenses will expire October 31, 2025.

The physician renewal portal opens at midnight on Friday, September 12th, 2025, and runs through 11:59pm October 31, 2025.
 

Wisconsin CME Requirements:

-30 hours of accredited CME (AMA PRA Category 1 or AOA Category 1
-Two (2) of the required 30 hours must be related to prescribing opioids and other controlled substances. 
 
Physicians who do not hold a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration number to prescribe controlled substances are exempted under the rules.
Log into your account in the UW-Madison ICEP Learning Portal to review your transcripts and confirm you have fulfilled your CE requirements.
 

CE Broker:

Ignore emails from CE Broker during the renewal period. They are a third-party vendor and are not involved in the renewal process. If your renewal is selected for an audit, you may need to use the platform to upload your documentation.
 

IMPORTANT:

DSPS will be placing holds on license renewals for the following agencies if you are non-compliant with their requirements. It will prevent you from completing your renewal.
