• Describe the mental health epidemic among adolescent athletes and the role of physical activity and organized sports in the promotion of mental health
• Describe the psychosocial consequences of injuries in athletes and how these can interfere with academic, emotional and social function, as well as return to sport
• Describe the critical knowledge gap ​regarding the role of injuries as triggers for mental illness in youth athletes
• Demonstrate ways to ​implement mental health screening in clinical settings for injured athletes
