Series Overview
Evidence-based presentations on various topics pertinent to APPs to enhance overall knowledge and highlight clinical pearls. Topics are from various specialties and can be applied across the continuum. Each sessions offers an opportunity to engage in discussion and pose questions with the interprofessional team.
Global Objectives
As a result of participation in this educational series, members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Increase engagement in quality improvement initiatives
- Enhance knowledge of and communication about various medical conditions, including assessment, diagnosis and treatment modalities, resulting in improved patient outcomes.
- Build relationships and network with the interprofessional team and subject matter experts to foster an atmosphere of collaborative patient care.

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP designates this live activity for a maximum of 0.5 ANCC contact hour.
ANCC pharmacotherapeutic contact hours will be calculated and awarded as appropriate per session to meet the needs of advanced practice nurses.
American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA)
The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 0.5 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation |
Continuing Education Units
The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP, as a member of the University Professional & Continuing Education Association (UPCEA), authorizes this program for 0.05 continuing education units (CEUs) or 0.5 hour.
