Series Overview
This series will utilize lectures, cases, and panel discussions aimed at enhancing knowledge and competence among fellows, advanced practice providers, MDs, and referring physicians specializing in advanced heart failure and transplant, cardiothoracic surgery and cardiac ICU. The evolving series will be designed with input from learners. We will cover a wide range of topics pertaining to advances in AHFTx, best practices, and examination of patient outcomes.
Global Objectives
As a result of participation in this educational series, members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Apply guideline-directed medical and device therapy in heart failure patients.
- Identify the transition from stable to advanced heart failure.
- Examine novel monitoring strategies and treatment approaches in heart failure.
- Prioritize a team-based approach to patient care and value diversity in clinical encounters.
