Series Overview

The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center Grand Rounds is a weekly series that features international, national, and institutional speakers. The mission is to share knowledge and spark collaborations within the UWCCC scientific programs, including Cancer Control, Cancer Genetics, Cell Signaling, Chemoprevention, Experimental Therapeutics, Human Cancer Virology, Imaging and Radiation Sciences, and the Tumor Microenvironment. Clinical programs within adult Hematology/Oncology, Palliative Care, Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Pediatric Oncology are also featured. It is the largest venue on the University of Wisconsin campus that brings together the many disparate professionals involved in cancer care and cancer research. The series is also available to professionals around Wisconsin and northern Illinois via live streaming, WebEx and Online/Enduring options.

Accreditation Statement

In support of improving patient care, the University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 ANCC contact hour.  

Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)

The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP designates this knowledge-based activity for a maximum of 1.0 hours or 0.1 CEUs of CPE credit. Credit can be earned by successfully completing the activity and the evaluation. Credit will be provided to NABP CPE Monitor within 60 days after the activity completion.

American Academy of PAs (AAPA)

This activity is designated for 1 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

As a result of participation in this educational series, members of the healthcare team will be able to:

  1. Provide collaborative, team‐based care and conduct multidisciplinary research related to cancer control, cancer genetics, chemoprevention, experimental treatments, imaging and radiation, disparities in care, and other areas of the field
