Series Overview

This weekly conference focuses on the care of pediatric cardiac patients through case-based discussion, content-expert presentations, and review of journal articles.  Learning occurs with the interprofessional team to incorporate best approaches into the practice of the entire care team.

Global Objectives

As a result of participation in this educational series, members of the healthcare team will:

• Use current guidelines, recent evidence and best practice related to diagnoses and treatment of congenital and acquired cardiac disease.  
• Engage in team-based management of the appropriate application of new diagnostic and treatment techniques to improve pediatric cardiology care.
• Describe the roles of team members in providing effective, value-driven patient care as part of interprofessional collaborative care team that adapts to address health disparities and the needs of the diverse patient population the team serves.
