As a result of participation in this educational series, participants will be able to:
- Explain principles of common orthopedic conditions, including diagnosis and treatment options (surgical and non-surgical).
- Cite current evidence, guidelines and recommendations for management of patients with orthopedic conditions and communicate these effectively with other members of the clinical team.
- Analyze recent research and technologies and their potential to improve management of patients with orthopedic conditions
- Initiate appropriate adjuvant and post-operative therapies and follow-ups for orthopedic surgery patients.
- Describe the roles of orthopedic practioners and other team members in providing effective patient care as part of interprofessional and multi-disciplinary team.
