Learning Objectives
As a result of this educational session, learners will be able to:
- Describe best practices for prescribing analgesia for patients discharged from the ED.
- Explain what types of opiates prescriptions should be avoided and the reasons why.
- List several adjunctive pain management strategies to help reduce need for opiates.
