Family LENS: Module 1-Best Practices for Partnership with Families of Children with Medical Complexity

The aim of this curriculum is to share family perspectives on life with their child with medical complexity (CMC) with medical trainees. It is important for future health care providers to realize that what they see in the clinical setting is only a small part of life for families and their children. By sharing key pieces of caregivers’ stories, learners will have the opportunity to learn directly from families about how they can become good partners in providing patient and family centered care on interdisciplinary teams.
