Dr. Chagharvand is a board-certified neurologist and vascular neurologist at UW Health and serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison . She earned her medical degree from Guilan University of Medical Sciences in Iran and completed her neurology residency and internship at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics. Further honing her expertise, she pursued a fellowship in vascular neurology at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center .

With a profound commitment to cerebrovascular health, Dr. Chagharvand specializes in the diagnosis and management of stroke and related neurological emergencies. Her dedication to advancing stroke care and educating healthcare professionals makes her an invaluable resource for our EMS community.

In this session, Dr. Chagharvand will delve into the critical aspects of recognizing and managing acute stroke in pre-hospital settings, emphasizing the pivotal role EMS providers play in improving patient outcomes.
