Series Overview

Pediatric Urology Morbidity & Mortality Conference is designed for practitioners in the field of Pediatric Urology or related medical fields who may benefit from increased knowledge in pediatric urological advances in order to develop new skills or strategies that will improve their delivery of optimal patient care. Morbidity and mortality reports from the pediatric urology division are presented one time per month. A resident currently assigned to the pediatric urology rotation presents the total number of surgical cases, hospital admissions and the specific inventory of each type of surgical procedure conducted at AFCH during the previous month. Complications are presented by the resident. This process involves reviewing the hospital course for that patient along with a review of published literature pertaining to the complication.
