Gastroenterology and Hepatology Online Grand Rounds (2020-22)
Series Overview
This educational series will include recorded grand grounds sessions that will consist primarily of literature review, presentations, case based and round table discussion. Fellows will be presenting research based on collaborations with faculty members of the Division. This promotes a multidisciplinary approach in learning and caring for patients while ensuring faculty and fellows are presented with current developing technology and research. We also invite expert speakers to lecture on prominent publications; observations and findings within the complex area of Gastroenterology and Hepatology diseases.
Intended Audience
UW Clinicians/staff: MDs, DOs, PAs, and other members of the GI and Hepatology Care Team and possibly RNs, and students primarily in the specialties of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, as well as related disciplines such as Oncology, Surgery, Radiology, and Pathology.
Learning Objectives
As a result of participation in this online education series, learners will be able to:
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of new and/or developing research, technology, and clinical practice guidelines to provide care for patients with conditions of the digestive system and liver.
- Use a multidisciplinary approach in the management of complex gastroenterology and hepatology diseases.
- Engage in quality improvement to translate best practices in the gastroenterology and hepatology into routine clinical practice.
