DSMIG-USA® Down Syndrome Medical Interest Group-USA Annual Symposium
Course Overview
The purpose of this activity is to provide an interdisciplinary forum for discussion and education for health care professionals interested in providing state-of-the-art care to persons with Down Syndrome (DS). This activity will be in a format that allows participants to assess their current practice and make adjustments based on evidence-based best practice recommendations.

Elements of Comptence
This continuing education activity has been designed to change learner competence and focuses on the American Board of Medical Specialties areas of medical knowledge, patient care and procedural skills and practice based learning and improvement. This activity also focuses on the interprofessional competencies of interprofessional communication and teams/teamwork.

Intended Audience
This activity is intended for healthcare providers and researchers with a special interest in the care of persons with Down Syndrome including, but not limited to: Primary Care Physicians (MD and MD/PhD), Specialty Physicians, Physician Assistants (MPAS), Nurse Practitioners (RN/MSN/DNP), Occupational Therapists (MS/OTD), Physical Therapists (MS/DPT), Speech Therapists (MS/PhD), Psychologists (PhD), Dietitians (MS/PhD), Social Workers (BSW/MSW), Trainees, and Down Syndrome Clinic Coordinators.

The conference fee includes the cost of tuition, materials, breakfast, lunch, refreshment breaks, and a nonrefundable processing fee of $50.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Requests for cancellation must be submitted in writing to help@icep.wisc.edu. Cancellations through May 21 will receive a full refund minus the $20 cancellation fee; May 22 -July 7 there will be a 50% refund. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after July 7.
