Series Overview

This is a monthly interdisciplinary activity for faculty, fellows, residents, pharmacists, APPs, and those interested  in current infectious disease topics.  Sessions will be designed to discuss the wide breadth of current, high impact infectious disease research that is applicable to the current/potential scope of practice of the target audience. Speakers will include current UW faculty members as well as hosted guest speakers from other institutions.

Credit Designation Statements

American Medical Association (AMA)

The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 ANCC contact hour.  

ANCC pharmacotherapeutic contact hours will be calculated and awarded as appropriate per session to meet the needs of advanced practice nurses. 

Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)

The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP designates this knowledge-based activity for a maximum of 1.0 hours or 0.1 CEUs of CPE credit. Credit can be earned by successfully completing the activity and the assessment. Credit will be provided to NABP CPE Monitor within 60 days after the activity completion.

Continuing Education Units

The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP, as a member of the University Professional & Continuing Education Association (UPCEA), authorizes this program for 0.1 continuing education units (CEUs) or 1 hour.

American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) 

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Participant completion information will be shared with the ABIM through PARS. By recording your attendance at this event, you are giving UW-ICEP permission to share this information with ABIM.
