Series Overview

Learners will critically evaluate current Radiation Oncology literature in a multi-disciplinary setting.  Review of literature will highlight potentially changing Radiation Oncology treatment paradigms.  Multi-disciplinary group will utilize knowledge gained to determine best strategies to implement new workflows and processes that concern all clinical needs and ensure patient access.  Radiation Oncology literature will be reviewed with focus of diversity and multi-disciplinary team will discuss ways to ensure equity in review and implentation of practice change based on journal club articles.

Global Objectives

As a result of participation in this educational series, members of the healthcare team will be able to:

  • Identify potential areas of radiation oncology practice changes based on review and assessment of literature at the forefront of knowledge in the field.
  • Integrate new research into radiation oncology subspeciality to provide timely and relevant clinical oncology knowledge in practice.
  • Identify potential interprofessional opportunities and limitations to improving radiation oncology practice across a diverse group of underserved subpopulations.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison ICEP has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 1 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
