Series Overview
This educational series will include grand grounds, journal club and quality assurance sessions that will consist primarily of literature review, presentations, case based and round table discussion. Fellows will be presenting research based on collaborations with faculty members of the Division. This promotes a multidisciplinary approach in learning and caring for patients while ensuring faculty and fellows are presented with current developing technology and research. Quality Assurance (QA) sessions will review QA data that is collected in efforts to improve outcomes, address health disparities, maximize safety and increase the quality of care with patients. We also invite expert speakers to lecture on prominent publications; observations and findings within the complex area of Gastroenterology and Hepatology diseases. At the end of the research, sharing outcomes and incorporating peer reviews in the educational sessions.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

- Use a interprofessional approach in the management of complex gastroenterology and hepatology diseases that addresses health disparities
- Engage in quality improvement to translate best practices in the gastroenterology and hepatology into routine clinical practice
