Dr. Emily Bartlett works as an emergency medicine physician at Gallup Indian Medical Center, an Indian Health Services (IHS) hospital. She is also a member of the IHS Emergency Medicine Chief Clinical Consultant Core Group, which works to strengthen emergency care within the IHS on a national scale.

At the hospital level, she leads initiatives to improve emergency department operations, including institutional readiness for pediatric and obstetric emergencies and other high-acuity, low-occurrence clinical scenarios. She also works to improve care for patients with substance use disorders, which is the focus of her project work with the Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity.

Emily graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University and obtained her medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She then completed her residency training in emergency medicine at the University of Washington, where she served as chief resident.
