Learning Objectives
As a result of participation in this educational activity, members of the healthcare team will increase their ability to:
- Demonstrate effective approaches to interacting with pediatric patients during trauma scenarios to ensure psychological and physical safety.
- Conduct a comprehensive trauma assessment tailored to the unique anatomical and physiological characteristics of pediatric patients.
- Identify actionable pathologies in pediatric trauma cases that require immediate intervention in the prehospital and Emergency Department setting.
- Apply principles of safe transport for pediatric patients, including securing devices and mitigating risks during transfer.
