Department of Surgery Online Grand Rounds (2024)
Series Overview
The Department of Surgery Grand Rounds features presentations relating to best practices in surgery, teamwork, and groundbreaking clinical research. Grand Rounds features a variety of surgical specialties, in order to best represent the population of clinicians and learners within the department and to broaden surgical knowledge outside of one’s direct specialty. We invite presenters from campus and across the world to provide meaningful learning experiences to members of our department.

Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Residents/Fellows, Students
Learning Objectives
As a result of participation in this educational series, members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Apply new knowledge of surgical research and practice, within and outside the domain pertaining to the participant's surgical specialty
- Apply new knowledge and skills into values-informed, patient-centered surgery practice
- Contribute to the institutional quality improvement effort to improve patient care by integrating new knowledge towards effectively communicating across different specialties, professions and clinician teams when providing care to patients undergoing surgery
- Discuss treatment, in learning environments as well as patient population, of diverse backgrounds
