Call for Poster Proposals: 10th Annual Native Nations Nursing, Helpers, and Healers Summit

Join us for the 2025 Native Nations Nursing, Helpers, and Healers Summit, where we invite poster presenters to share their expertise in culturally congruent healthcare for Native American communities. This year’s summit, Friday, November 7th at the UW-Madison School of Nursing, will be centered on the theme, Culture as Medicine. The Summit is for nurses and other healers to share knowledge and collaborative approaches to address the health and well-being of Indigenous communities, incorporate Indigenous wisdom, and promote planetary health which we depend on for our foods, medicines, and life itself. We seek proposals addressing evidence-based approaches, interprofessional communication/collaboration, health promotion/ disease prevention, and community-engaged scholarship.

The 2025 Summit will also feature Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer as its Keynote Speaker. She is a mother, scientist, decorated professor, and enrolled member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation. She is also the New York Times bestselling author of Braiding Sweetgrass and The Serviceberry.

Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to the dialogue and advance healthcare for Indigenous populations. Submit your proposal today! Students (undergraduate and graduate) in any healer profession program are encouraged to apply!!
