Working in gender-affirming and trans healthcare can be deeply meaningful, but sustaining a career in this field over the long term requires intention. This session explores workforce sustainability through the lens of compassion satisfaction  (i.e., the gratification providers draw from their work) and its role in preventing burnout. Participants will reflect on their current levels of compassion fatigue and satisfaction, learn research-based strategies for sustaining engagement at the individual, peer, supervisor, and organizational levels, and leave with a personalized action plan to support their long-term work in this field.
