  1. Discuss the burden of dysarthria in Parkinson Disease including its epidemiology, economic impact, and quality-of-life implications.
  2. Discuss the evidence-based research pyramid and importance of basic-translational research in the fields of laryngology and Parkinson disease.
  3. Evaluate the Pink1-/- genetic research model in advancing our understanding of dysarthria and early disease mechanisms and its use to fill gaps in the evidence-based research pyramid.
