Series Overview

This is a multidisciplinary tumor board that has run weekly for many years. It includes head and neck surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, neuroradiologists, pathologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, and research coordinators. In general, the majority of new head and neck cancer patients' cases are discussed at the time of diagnosis to formulate a multidisciplinary plan. Generally, the providers who have seen the patient present their case, followed by discussion of radiologic and pathologic findings, which is then followed by a multidisciplinary discussion to generate a plan of care. Evidence for different approaches is discussed and a consensus plan is agreed to.
