Series Overview

This educational series will include grand rounds and journal club sessions that will consist primarily of literature review, presentations, case based and round table discussion. Fellows will be presenting research based on collaborations with faculty members both in and outside of the Division. This promotes a multidisciplinary approach in learning and caring for patients while ensuring faculty and fellows are presented with current/developing technology & research. We also invite expert speakers to lecture on prominent publications; observations & findings within the complex area of GI and/or Hepatology diseases. At the end of the series each one of the senior fellows go through research review presenting research, sharing outcomes & incorporating peer reviews in the educational sessions.

Target Audience

UW Clinicians/staff: MDs, DOs, PhDs,PAs, NPs, and other members of the GI and Hepatology Care Team and possibly RNs, and Mas primarily in the specialties of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, as well as related disciplines such as Oncology, Surgery, Radiology, and Pathology.

The University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP, as a member of the University Professional & Continuing Education Association (UPCEA), authorizes this program for 0.1 continuing education units (CEUs) or 1 hour.

American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Participant completion information will be shared with the ABIM through PARS. By recording your attendance at this event, you are giving UW-ICEP permission to share this information with ABIM.
