Series Overview
The UW Department of Emergency Medicine (EM) Grand Rounds series allows leaders in our specialty to lecture on topics that are high yield for faculty, residents, APPs, medical students, and other medical professionals. We reach out to speakers and ask that they lecture on topics that will help keep our team informed of current and evolving practices in Emergency Medicine. Our Grand Rounds speakers are recognized leaders/experts in the field who use the most up to date information available to keep our team knowledgeable.
Target Audience
Emergency Medicine faculty (MD & DO), residents (MD & DO), advanced practice providers (PA-C, NP), medical students and occasionally nursing (RN, APRN, LPN) and pharmacy affiliated professions.

Participants will be able to:
- Develop strategies to apply new knowledge and skills to the care of patients, either in the emergency department or in any area of off-service work.
- Identify strategies to apply the interprofessional competencies in their team-based practice in order to function effectively as an interprofessional team.
