Series Overview

Medical/surgical specialists from UW-Madison present up-to-date information that enhances medical knowledge that can be applied to their daily medical/surgical practices. A member of Divine Savior's medical staff concludes each session by sharing information/experiences they've encountered with a specific case, or with an interesting medical/ surgical condition or disease process. This forum meets one time per month for 1 hour.

As a result of participation in this educational series, learners will be able to: 

  1. Describe advances in medical knowledge and techniques used in the care and treatment of patients presenting with a variety of illnesses/injuries.
  2. Utilize new practice standard guidelines and quality data to improve delivery of care within the Divine Savior system.
  3. Apply appropriate practice standards, skills and strategies identified in the research to the care and treatment of patients presenting with illness/injuries that are not always experienced on a regular basis.
