OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand how immunization coverage and herd immunity impact vaccine-preventable disease epidemiology
  • Discuss causes & results of vaccine hesitancy
  • Compare possible approaches to families that wish to delay or defer immunizations
  • Share skills and knowledge to discuss immunizations with families wishing to defer them
