Objectives:

As a result of this program, participants will be able to properly describe and measure a wound using the linear measurement technique.

As a result of this program, participants will be able to identify and differentiate wounds of various stages including:
•pressure ulcers (stage 1-4, unstageable, and deep tissue injury)
•non-ulcers (partial thickness vs full thickness)

As a result of this program, participants will be able to distinguish most likely causes of a wound and recommend studies for further evaluation.

As a result of this program, participants will be able to associate different dressing categories with their properties and given wound characteristics identify the most appropriate dressing.
